Model Making
physical models made using a variety of materials
A hundred years through the Modern Interior
A model of a walkway installation is designed and created based on research and analysis of the ideals and approaches of three designers from different eras. The model primarily draws inspiration from the Palazzo del Lavoro by Pier Luigi Nervi and his viewpoints that art must have both structural stability and aestheticism. Subsequently, the themes of nature and symmetry exhibited in William Morris’ Strawberry Thief are incorporated into the designed walkway. Readings on Adolf Loos and his beliefs on the use of ornaments in art pieces refined the final design of the walkway.
