reactivating a chosen team node with unique programmes

In this assignment, we are required as a team to choose a node within the city. Our node is situated approximately 400m away from Light Square, in between Hindley Street and Currie Street along Solomon and Burnett Street. The goal is to reactivate this chosen node through utilising different but equally unique programmes. Located on 96 Curie St, I have chosen to design a ceramic studio and store. Other programmes include a Bavarian bar, pizza and beer restaurant, wellness day spa and a cafe and bookstore. Within the site, the primary stakeholders include tourists, students, nearby hotel guests and local community.

Initial site history research was done to create a visual language. It is discovered from the cartography map in 1911 that the location used to be Chateau Tanunda Wine Cellar and Store. Through this, the curvature from wine barrels were chosen as the final point of departure for exploration of a visual language.
